Press and hold R1 + R2 + L1 + L2 for 3 seconds. The left bar LED illuminates green/orange/white (varies by manufacture date).

Assign a Back Button
While in remap mode, press and hold the back button you want to program. While holding it, press the front-facing button (Square, Triangle, X, O) you want to assign. Release to save that assignment.

Save and Exit
Press and hold D-Pad Up for 2 seconds, then release. The LED turns off, confirming save.

Reset & Disable Back Buttons
Power off the controller. Hold R2 + R3 while turning it back on. The LED flashes 5 times to confirm reset.
Tip
If a mapping doesn’t take, ensure you’re still in remap mode before assigning.
Xbox Remap Instructions

Enter Remap Mode
Hold the Home (View) button for 5 seconds until the left LED glows red.

Bind Buttons
While in remap mode, press and hold any face button and the rear button/paddle you want to bind. The LED blinks to confirm.

Exit Remap Mode
Hold the Home button for 5 seconds until the LED turns off.

Clear Mappings
Press and hold the Home button. Keep holding until the LED blinks three times. Release to clear, then hold Home again to exit.

Enter Programming Mode
Hold R1 + R2 + L1 + L2 for 8 seconds. The LED does one long flash to confirm programming mode.

Configure Back Button
Hold the back button you want to remap, then tap any button(s) to assign. Multiple buttons can be assigned.
Examples: Single: hold back button → tap Triangle → release. Multiple: hold back button → tap X, R1, D-Pad Up → release.

Save & Exit
Tap the touchpad to save and exit. Your mappings are now active.

Master Reset
Turn off the controller. Hold X + Triangle + Circle + Square while turning it back on. The LED blinks rapidly 10 times to confirm.
