Every HYPR controller is custom-built to order. While we take pride in delivering high-quality products, we understand there are rare situations where a return, cancellation, or warranty claim may be needed.

How HYPR handles returns, cancellations, and defective products.

Every HYPR controller is custom-built to order. We build, test, and ship each unit individually, which means returns and cancellations work a little differently from mass-produced products.

We’ve made the return process fast and easy for both domestic and international customers. With return centers in the US, Australia, South Korea, and Japan, you can send your controller back to a local facility, avoiding international customs delays and costly return shipping.

Please review the guidelines below before initiating a return.

Returning Undamaged or Non-Defective Goods

For change-of-mind returns on controllers that are in like-new condition.

  • Return requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
  • Controllers must be in like-new condition, with no signs of wear, use, damage, or modification.
  • All original packaging and accessories must be included.
  • A 20% restocking fee applies to cover labor, materials, and inspection for all custom-built controllers.
  • Pre-configured controllers are not subject to this restocking fee.
  • Shipping costs and Expedited Build fees are non-refundable.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping charges and assume risk of loss or damage until the return is received and inspected by HYPR.
  • We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service.
  • Controllers must be accepted upon delivery. Refused packages are not eligible for return.

Note: Shipping fees are only refundable if the product was faulty or shipped in error.

Returning Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Goods

What to do if something isn’t right when your controller arrives.

Damaged Goods

If your package arrives damaged during transit:

  • Retain all original packaging and shipping materials.
  • Contact our Customer Support team immediately via our chat widget or email.
  • Return the damaged item(s) within 7 business days of receipt for an exchange or repair.
Faulty or Defective Goods

If your controller is defective or not functioning properly:

  • Contact support within 7 days of delivery.
  • Include:
    • Your order number
    • A clear description of the issue
    • Photo or video documentation showing the defect
  • Once verified as a manufacturing defect, we will provide a repair, replacement, or refund.
  • Refunds exclude non-refundable service fees such as Expedited Build.
  • Damage caused by misuse, drops, liquid exposure, or unauthorized modifications is not covered.
Incorrect Goods

If you receive the wrong item:

  • Contact our support team within 7 days of delivery.
  • Provide photo proof of the incorrect product.
  • We will cover the return shipping cost and send out the correct item immediately once the return is received.

Non-Returnable Items

The following are not eligible for return:

  • Controllers showing signs of wear, misuse, or modification
  • Completed or in-progress send-in upgrade services
  • Controllers that were refused at the time of delivery

Cancellations

  • Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of placement.
  • A 10% cancellation fee applies to cover preparation and processing.
  • Expedited orders begin processing immediately and cannot be canceled once production has started.
  • Orders already in production may not be eligible for cancellation.

Expedited Build Fees

When you select Expedited Build at checkout, your controller is prioritized for early production and assembly.

The fee covers priority scheduling, expedited labor, and immediate sourcing of specialized parts, many of which are non-cancelable once ordered.

  • Non-refundable labor portion is capped at $29.99.
  • If you paid more than this (e.g., $49.99), the difference may be partially refundable if canceled before shipping.
  • Once production begins, Expedited Build fees are non-refundable.

Processing Time for Returns & Refunds

  • Please allow 7–10 business days for your return to be processed after we receive the item.
  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
  • Processing timelines may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
